Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Delhi Capitals(DC) by 50 runs in the 3rd match of IPL 2023 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
Today (1st April) second match of the day was held between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) led by K L Rahul and Delhi Capitals(DC) led by David Warner because Rishabh Pant got himself injured during car driving. David Warner won the toss and chose to bowl first.

In today’s match, Kyle Mayers did an IPL debut from the LSG side. Chetan Sakariya took the first wicket in the 3rd match of the TATA IPL-2023 and Kyle Mayers scored the first fifty of the TATA IPL-16 match 3. Kyle Mayers showed brilliant destructions with the bat and he scored 73 runs in just 38 balls. Nicholas Pooran scored 36 runs in 21 balls, Ayush Badoni scored 18 runs in 7 balls as LSG posted a total of 193 for six. From the DC side, Khaleel Ahmed and Chetan Sakariya took 2 wickets each.
In the second innings of the match, from the DC side, Captain David Warner played a brilliant but slow inning and scored 56 runs in 48 balls, and Rilee Rossoouw made 30 runs in 20 balls. For LSG, Mark Wood took the first 5 wickets haul of the season and conceded only 14 runs, Avesh Khan, and Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets each.
