Team India has suffered a major setback as star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is slated to be ruled out of the forthcoming T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia with a back stress fracture injury. As per media reports, he will not need surgery but it will take four to six months for recovery.
Jasprit Bumrah ruled out from home Series
Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the ongoing T20 series against South Africa. Also, he’s in danger of missing out on the T20 World Cup 2022 too. He is set to report to the National Cricket Academy(NCA) in Bengaluru.
Having featured in the two T20Is against Australia, Jasprit Bumrah did not travel with the team for the first T20I against South Africa, played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.
Jasprit Bumrah has scalped 70 T20I wickets and is only behind Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar for most wickets for India in the shortest format.
What happened to Jasprit Bumrah?
India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was on Thursday ruled out of the T20 World Cup with a stress fracture, dealing a massive blow to the team’s chances in the ICC event. A BCCI official told PTI that Bumrah has a stress fracture and could be out of action for months.
But sources within the Indian team management and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have revealed that the chances of the Indian star’s recovery by the first game in the T20 World Cup 2022 are remote but hope is not being given up.
The selectors will be naming the replacement and he can likely be Mohammed Siraj or Deepak Chahar.
Shami has missed the Australia and South Africa T20Is due to covid. But he has tested negative and is available for selection as well.

The 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be an eighth astonishing cricket tournament, scheduled to be played in Australia from 16 October to 13 November 2022. The world’s biggest 16 teams will clash in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
The tournament is generally held every two years. Australia is the venue and host of the tournament. They are also the defending champions of the tournament. Australia won their first-ever title in T20 WC in 2021 after defeating New Zealand in the final.

The 7th edition of the T20 World Cup 2021 was held in UAE & Oman from 17 Oct- 14 Nov.
How can I book tickets for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022?
Click the “TICKETS” option on the top of the page and select “BOOK TICKETS“
Right after clicking “BOOK TICKETS” select the match for which you need to book the ticket else click on “FIND MORE MATCHES” to get the full list of matches to book the ticket
Click on the “BUY TICKETS” option on the right of the match details.
Click on “FIND TICKETS” on the following page and select the stand from which you need to watch the match.
Upon selecting the stand/seat you will get notified of the price range for the particular seat/stand.
You can book up to a maximum of 10 tickets in a single transaction and even can get the tickets via mobile without any additional charges.
After selecting the number of tickets you need to book click the “NEXT” option on the bottom right corner.
You will redirect to the payment page where you can book tickets for other matches too by selecting “ADD MORE MATCHES” or click on the “NEXT” to continue with the T20 World Cup 2022 Tickets Booking process.
Click on the “GO TO PAYMENT” option to complete the T20 World Cup 2022 Tickets Booking process.
