Cheteshwar Pujara’s career in County Championship 2022:

Cheteshwar Pujara – The County Championship Division Two 2022
Pujara dominated bowlers in the County Championship Division Two. Representing his county Sussex in his debut season, the India Test specialist has smashed 1,094 runs in eight matches at an average of 109.40, which includes three double-hundreds & two hundred. He also slammed a double hundred against Middlesex – his third double ton in county cricket and his 16th overall in first-class cricket.
Royal London One-Day Cup competition:
Captain of the Sussex team Cheteshwar Pujara has been in sensational form in the ongoing English domestic One-Day Cup. Pujara is in the form of his life, playing dazzling innings one after another. The 34-year-old has smashed more than 500 runs in the ongoing Royal London One-Day Cup this season while playing for Sussex.
Pujara slammed a big hundred off just 75 balls, scoring 132 against Middlesex on Tuesday, Aug 23, during which he also crossed 5000 runs in List A cricket since making his debut for West Zone in the Deodhar Trophy in 2006. Pujara now averages an incredible 57.48 in List A cricket, narrowly behind Australia great Michael Bevan’s average of 57.86.
Cheteshwar Pujara – The Royal London One-Day Cup 2022
Over the year, while Cheteshwar Pujara’s reputation as a Test specialist has grown tremendously, his limited-overs career has almost spiralled. Pujara hasn’t played in the Indian Premier League(IPL) for years and his last limited-overs appearance for India came way back in 2014. Given Pujara’s credentials, his latest exploits in One-Day cricket are grabbing eyeballs.
The right-handed batter has recorded hundreds against Warwickshire (107), Surrey (174) and Middlesex (132) and have all come at a strike rate in excess of 130. And the kind of form he is currently in, Pujara is definitely shattering the ‘labels’ bestowed upon him.

Before sensational form in the ongoing English domestic One-Day Cup, Pujara had phenomenal form in the County Championship Division Two 2022 as well.
Cheteshwar Pujara – The County Championship Division Two 2022
Cheteshwar Pujara also has the second-most runs to his name. County cricket revived a down-and-out Pujara’s cricketing career after he was dropped post a poor run in the South Africa Test series. He has played with a positive mindset ever since. And, the results are a testimony to the same. Pujara will not be part of the remaining matches.
Averaging a phenomenal 109.40, Pujara has smacked 1,094 runs across 13 innings. He has slammed five hundred, including 3 double-tons, which is the most by a batter in the ongoing tournament. He also has the joint-second-most fours alongside Nottinghamshire’s Haseeb (135). His scores in the tournament read as 6, 201*, 109, 12, 203, 16, 170*, 3, 46, 231, 2, 49, and 46*.

Cheteshwar Pujara’s Career in County 2022 till Aug,26.
Following his impressive run in the County Championships, Pujara made a comeback to India’s Test team for the rescheduled fifth and final Test against England at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in July. India went on to lose the match in which Pujara scored 13 and 66 in the two innings.
So, after all the analysis we can say that the current wall of the Indian Test team Cheteshwar Pujara is the king of the English County Championship 2022 in both formats.
